On a train through Minnesota. Heading to the station where my car had been parked for a day. I stared out the window in silence. Marvelous rivers and forests. We were in the middle of nowhere, the boondocks, and it was beautiful. Then the train passed through a clearing of burnt trees and wood.

Two rows ahead of me, sat a girl with bright pink hair. I could hear her scribbling on a piece of paper. She had a backpack on with a multitude of pins and stickers. She looked to be a college student. At the last stop she suddenly stood up and took a seat next to me. “What’s your name?” She asked, all sorts of prissy. I noticed her freckles and her angular jaw. Rather a pretty girl.

“Thomas.” I said. “And yours?”

“Cassidy.” She giggled. “I’m crazy.”
“You don’t look it. But that’s fine—we’re all crazy. Maybe that’s crazy. Maybe I’m crazy.”

She laughed again. “Hmm, that does sound crazy.”

“What do you do for fun?”

It was here that I learned that when someone says their crazy, they are most likely crazy. You know that feeling where there’s just something off with a person? Yeah, she wasn’t lying. “Well, I like cooking, cleaning, horses, horse riding, baking, cooking, chemistry, astronomy, tarot cards, and I also work with spirits. I’ve also been in two mental hospitals.”

“I’ve been in one.”

“Ooooh, then we match. What do you have?”

“What?”

“You’re disorder. What do you have?”

What a funny question. And there was certainly something wrong with me. “Well, I don’t know. But I know I got something.” I said.

“Then your doctor never told you. They do that sometimes—that’s why I don’t trust them. Like, I was suicidal and asking for help and they just threw me in my second hospital. I still have the socks.”

“What do you think caused that?”

“Just take a look around.”

“So, it’s the world?” I asked.

“It’s everything!”

“I get that. Sometimes things just get too much. That’s why I left and now I’ve been on the road for a year.”

“Really? You don’t think about going home? I’m heading home right now.”

I shook my head. “Not at all. There’s no place fit for me.”

“That’s kind of where I’m at. Ever since I dropped out of college my parents don’t want anything to do with me. They have a hate boner for me.”

“I never went to college. My days were spent selling weed and making a lot of money off that.”

“Seriously? You wanna smoke now?”

“Well, there’s no way we can.”

“Are you kidding me? We’ll just go into the bathroom and lock the door.”

Oh my God, this lady was going to get me in so much trouble. But then again, I was always in trouble. I had done stupid things my entire life and lived life on the edge. What problem could a simple smoke session pose?
“Fine.” I said. “Let’s go.”

We walked down the row and entered the bathroom. It was cramped with the both of us in there. She sat on the toilet and I perched myself against the sink. I rolled a simple joint with a tobacco paper. If I had left over resin I would’ve wiped it on the paper. Turned it into a sort of moonrock joint. But not really. I was missing the kief.

“Lemme take the first hit.” She said, giggling once more.

I passed it to her and she took a long draw. Then she exhaled little O’s out the window. It was a marvel to see. I took a hit and found that it came on rather fast. Before I knew it, things were starting to look blurry. And then the wave of static washed over me.

“I should really call my mom sometime.” I said. “I just don’t fucking want too.”

“Hey, at least you have a family.”

“I don’t consider anyone my family. But, your’s doesn’t talk to you, huh?”

“Right. Because I left college. Just a bunch of narcissists.”
I finished the joint and tossed it out the window. It was a good high. And just as I was about to open the door, she put her foot in the way. “Wait a second.” She said.

“What?”

She reached over and kissed me. Then she went down and unbuttoned my jeans. She licked my dick and then pulled her jeans off. “Fuck me.”

I put it inside and thrusted her against the wall. Her pink nails dug into my shoulders and she moaned. I put my lips on hers and we kissed. She began moving and wrapped her legs around my thighs. We were completely interlocked.

She panted and kissed my neck. I carressed her pale stomach and thrusted. She was a good fuck. Did all the right moves. Cassidy moved up and kissed me on the lips. I was just about to come.

But then, the train whistle blew. She slid off and stood up. “This is my stop! Bye!” She promptly left and I never saw her again. I was a little salty. I didn’t even get to come or get her phone number. And a number would’ve been nice.
